Hi guys,... looking for some info here.
I recently installed Bearshare (an alternative to Napster) on my computer, JUST to try it out b/c I was going to have to wipe my drive anyway within the next couple of days. It worked great,... except that it would completely HOG all the bandwidth (even if it wasn't using it) so that I couldn't even retrieve my email. (read : no multi-tasking) On top of that, I've been reading some other "reviews" and posts in other places about how Bearshare crashes their systems,... and this is all in light of the 2 or 3 spyware software that supposedly doesn't get installed if you uncheck it, but I've noticed that it does EVERY time regardless of what you do. I'm wondering what y'all out there are using and if any of y'all have any recommendations as to an alternative to Bearshare, which is an alternative to Napster,.... Thanks in advance! - B |

Watch out!!!!
BearShare contains Spyware meaning the program sends back information about you everytime you turn on the program. Try Limewire.

Me like Limewire. Limewire good.
Being an artsy-fartsy kind of guy, I found the splash screen of limewire to be very aesthetically pleasing. Very soothing and enticing. Props to the Limewire team!
