it randomly asks for the cd which i have
but it is annoying load anything a million times fine but next thing u know i load say word or excel it asks for cd anybody experience this is this the office xp protection ? help

I've been running XP for a few weeks now - upgraded from the last beta RC to retail version, and I've never experienced what you've described.

I'm using the Microsoft Office XP + FrontPage (full install)and a 'special' key and haven't experienced the problem you described.
Does it seem to reload the same date every time it requests the CD-ROM? |

Office 2000 did the same thing.
