I seem to have lost my product ID for MS Visual Studio 6. I just reformatted my computer, and I tried to install VS 6, but I can't find the product ID. All I have left of the old setup is a registry backup. I know you can get your windows 98 key from the registry. Anyone know if I can recover my VS 6 key from the registry?
I sure hope so. VS 6 is pretty expensive. What a shame, I can't believe I lost the key for it... Please help! -Jim |

Not sure where it might be in the registry, but if you can't find it anywhere you can call Microsoft and get a new producy key IF (and only IF) you can prove that you legally own this copy, like a physical reciept or something.
