I'm not sure where to post this, so I just stuck it here. I have a video capture card and I've been doing some video editing. I have 90 minutes of captured video and I'm trying to get it to fit on a cd using the divc MPEG 4 codec. I'm pretty sure the codec is cracked, and it comes with the Fraunhofer MP3 codec. The problem is, I can get premiere to compress the video using the Divx codec, but when I try to set the audio settings, mpeg 3 is not an option. I really need to be able to compress the sound using mp3 in order to keep the file size down. I have a hacked version of the radium mp3 codec, but I had ir previously installed, and had the same problem. Premiere simply won't list the mp3 codec as available when I try to output a Microsoft AVI file. It will, however, let me export the audio seperately as an mp3. Thanks to anyone who could let me know where to download a good mp3 codec that will work, or knows what's wrong. I'm using Premiere 6.0.
