While in Microsoft Word 2000 I am receiving the following error message when trying to open a document- "Word has insufficient memory. Do you want to save Document 1 as a Rescued document?" I can open it from Windows Explorer but not in Word. Also it says that all the word documents are the same size and have the wrong dates.
I updated from office 97 to office 2000. I still received the same error message. I am not having the problem with Excel, Access, or PP. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, cubfan |

sounds like something is messed up in you registry. My suggestion would be to uninstall word all together, reboot, then reinstall.

I was having this problem in Word 97. So I uninstalled office 97 and put office 2000. While in Word 2000 I still received this message. I beleive by uninstalling office 97 and putting office 2000 the registry would have been changed. Any other suggestions?

How much RAM do you have? What about virtual mem? Is you HD filled to the brim, making it so you have absolutely zero virtual mem?
