Question

My Easy CD Creator 2 software won't recognize my NEC CD-RW. The software claims there are no "supported" burners attached. Does anyone know of a patch or update that will allow me to burn? I understand that this is an old version of the Adaptec software but it was the best I could get for free. Thank you...

does v 2 have adaptec's web update?

Keep looking. places like Staples and Comp geeks will sometimes have good/last version burner software for really cheap. You should be able to snag at least version 4 of EZCD or version 4 of Nero for pennies.

Because of ght forums anti-piracy policy, I can't tell you where to download burner software, but I can tell you its everywhere if you look.

quite honestly I was having the same problem. Adaptec's program in my humble opinion sucks! I'd go get NERO 5.0 which allows for the free update to 5.5 (newest version) from ebay. It's less than 25 bucks and will not give your problems. It has a option to recognize/add cd-roms
