Odd Win2k networking problem
Ok - we have a server here named Apollo. I can ping it with both its name and IP. I can view it over the network in Explorer. BUT, when I do a NET VIEW APOLLO at a command prompt, I get an error: This computer name is invalid. It then gives me an error code of 2351. I can find nothing useful on the net about this. I CAN do a NET VIEW for other servers just fine.
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? Thanks in advance, -OC

Longshot...
Kinda longshot and probably simplistic suggestion, but do you have to log into Apollo first? Like going through network neighborhood typing login name etc? If you haven't logged into to automatically you won't be able to see it.

Is it in the same domain or workgroup as the computer you're trying to view it from?
