i think i am going insane
Ok i am running win2K
i need all those good commands in C:\WINNT\system32> such as ping and tracert to run from c:\ where do i have to add the link or alias or what for me to be able to do that instead of going to C:\WINNT\system32> all the time... now i know i am doing some stupid little thing wrong and it's driving me insane.

need to add thsi command to your config sys file...
path C:\WINNT\system32 that will tell the system to look in that directory for commands nto found in the current dir.

Ok i did it through autoexec.bat, i am not really sure how to do it through config.sys because win2k doesn't really utilize config.sys anymore, i mean they have been moving more and more stuff into the registry.
I went to the advanced variables and saw that c:\winnt\System32 is added into and yet i still can't run the command located in that directory, anyone know what's going on. or does the same thing happen to you |
