check for flash

is there a way i can have a page check to see if flash is installed on the users computer and have it automatically go to a flash or non flash page depending if its installed?

I have used this method many times for Flash detection. This page mentions Flash 4, but it also works for Flash 5. Basically you create the smallest Flash movie possible and create a META tag that redirects the user to a different page after a set delay. If the Flash plug-in is not installed, the META tag redirection will kick in and send the user to a non-Flash page. Best of luck!
