can't download from microsoft...non-existent folder??
Well, I need to re-download Outlook Express cause the address book is missing or not working or something to that extent, but whenever i try to download from microsoft, it tells me that the folder C:\Windows Update Setup Files or something similar is a read only and I should either respecify a folder or change the properties of the folder. As far as I can tell, the folder doesn't even exist...any help here? This is in Win2k, fairly new and clean.

Have you checked to see if the folder is hidden? If it doesn't exist, have you tried manually creating the folder?
Also, how are you "re-downloading" Outlook Express? What program or method are you using to initiate the download? ![]() |

why dont you just go to control panel/ add remove programs /pop in an office cd and install outlook from there...or even better do a search for files with a ".pab" extension and point express to that.
