Backup Software

Would like some opinions on backup software. I am looking for something that I can use to do full and incremental backups of certain files and directories.

Adaptec Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum has a "take two" option to back up your HD or certain areas of your HD. Might want to look into that one. Although I can't get ANY burning softwarer to work on XP... Stupid M$

What kind of media are you backing up to? (e.g. CD/DVD-R(W), mag-op, tape, another hard drive)

BackupExec rocks, but i've never used the desktop version. We deploy the server version on all our servers equipped with tape backups and it gets the job done great -- email if theres an error, the works. I'd look into the desktop version.

To me, it's the answer to backing up your PC.

yeah DF, norton ghost rocks...
veritas backup also rocks, but geared more towards an enterprise audience. not sure if there's a personal edition or not...

Hm... Other people tell me that their programs work also, and that Easy CD works also if you disable the Direct CD that comes w/ the program.

Maybe it's just my hardware.
I'm running an old SCSI Plextor 8/20 CDR.

What version of CDRWin were you using? I even tried Adaptec 4.0a w/ no success. I got that message of, The program you launched has errors loading, a log will be created.. or something like that.
