mIRC with Router - NO WORKY , HELP?
Ok. So I just installed mIRC for the first time since I got my router (SMC7004ABR). I can't seem to get it to connect. Identd error:
*** Connecting to irc.lagged.org (6667) - Local host: bigputie (192.168.2.2) - -irc.lagged.org- *** Looking up your hostname... - -irc.lagged.org- *** Checking Ident - *** Identd request from 206.139.136.5 - -irc.lagged.org- *** No Ident response - -irc.lagged.org- *** Found your hostname - Memo Nickname is already in use. - -ircd.lagged.org- *** Notice -- You need to install identd to use this server - Closing Link: Memo-[memo@255.255.255.255] (Install identd) What do I have to do to get it to work? I know identd uses port 113. I opened that and I opened port 6667 but still no luck. Any ideas? |

Ah, thanks, I got it to work without downloadign anything. Had to set up the ports as "virtual servers" for identd had them open under "special application" in my router setup. I'm not sure what the difference is but it works
