Shutdown Windows Timer
Is there a way to make it so I can make Windows shutdown at a certain time?
When I download stuff off of Mirc, I'd like to set a timer to the computer so that it'll shutdown at a certain time so my comp isn't on for a long time. Any advice is appreciated ![]() -Gbubonis |

If you're running NT, W2K or XP, you can use the 'AT' or 'WINAT' commands to schedule a shutdown to happen at a particular time.
You'll need the 'reboot' command from the Resource Kit (I believe you can download this from MS). Now the one thing I'm not sure of is if this will allow you to shut down the system or just reboot it.... |

there are some programs out there that work really well, you can set a time of day ne particular day of the week or month and it'll shut down at that time, or reboot, u can set it up to do this everyday or just one time when u wnat it to, go to download.com and type in poweroff, the program u can get is poweroff or autoclose, i haven't use autoclose yet but i've used poweroff, works really well, hope that helps. late
