shpc32.exe - win2k
I'm running win2k, and I see this shpc32.exe running in the processes tab in the windows task manager. But my problem is that the longer i leave my computer on, the more memory this thing eats, until it starts complaining i don't have enough memory/virtual memory. And I got 512megs.... and this stupid little shpc32 thing is eating like 460megs
anyone know anything about this program? what it does? |

Running "shpc32" through google leads to the following page:
http://www.3feetunder.com/krick/startlist.htm which is really an excellent collection of various processes that are started by various applications. shpc32 is identified as: Compaq printer utility which is required in the startup menu in order to make the printer work correctly. !NEEDED! Hope this helps.

Hmmmm..... sounds like a memory leak to me. You should probably surf around Compaq's website for an update. |

Most likely, this file is executed due to a setting in your registry.
