Winkrmz virus
Any one gotten this one? My girlfriend did. I don't know what it does, other than seemingly access the address book, favorites and cookies.
I think I managed to tame it, though. With it running, I couldn't get on to Norton's Virus Check. After tweaking with it enough... I am scanning right now. So far 8 infected files. All in one day. Cripes. She's usually pretty good about this stuff. Dave. |

Ok... SINCE all of you were so interested... heavy sarcasm intended
 I will let you know that this bad boy infected many of the exe's in the program files directory. Fortunately, none of the Microsoft ones.Note to self... and to you all... after reinstalling the apps... burn a copy of all the exe's to disc for easy restore. Dave. |
