I just have to throw out here real quick how much I LOVE Norton Ghost 2002.
I've been trying to learn how to use Ghost for awhile now to image my drive so I've got a clean, *I-can-use-this-in-case-of-a-f-up* image, and I've had a helluva time figuring out how to do a Ghost image to burn onto CD. I've followed the Radified drive and all, read over it etc. but up until now it's been a pain for me 'cause I use Win2k (my OS of choice especially over XP) on NTFS and Ghost can't write to NTFS partitions, it can only read them. So I had to do a partition (formatted as FAT32) on my other computer's HD, then do some IDE hooking up on my primary PC (the one I wanted to Ghost) and go through all this stuff just to get it to work. Still couldn't. Thank God Symantec got with the time and put burner support in Ghost...ver 2002. You can now burn images direct to CD. <nice> It's really really sweet and I highly recommend this program to anyone to save a lot of time, hassles, headaches, and Office Space-like machine destruction. ![]() |
