Which Instant Messenger do you use?

also... is there one that unifies all the instant messengers into one?

I've used AIM long ago, and now use MSN. What do you use?

ICQ is GREAT! Plus it logs all your conversations! What an awesome feature!

None - I have no time for such foolishness.

Now, maybe if I had some friends then...

I use ICQ AIM MSN so i can talk to all my firends.

a lot of people out there will only use one instant messenger. it's too bad everyone can't decide on one. personally i like MSN because there are no ads, and they aren't AOL (which means I don't have to put up with AOLs bullsh*t).

What AOL Bullsh*t do you run into on AIM?

they don't like trillian as an interface for their network. probably because they don't run their ads. I would love to run trillian for all my instant messengers, but i can't because of AOLs bullsh*t.

AIM is my main messenger. I kept MSN on because it comes with Windows XP and lots of my family uses that. And you can easily remove the ads in AIM. So it's not a big deal. I seriously hate ICQ, I think it's a piece of crap.

I agree, ICQ is weak. People only use it because its old and only internet old timers think its good so using it makes you look like a "1337" internet veteren.

old timers? what are you 12? (yes, i know your not 12)

if you are "1337" for using icq, then that is stupid. (it's only if they have a low icq number, 6 digits or less like me )

Red face

I mainly use MSN just because it tells me when I get new Spammail...I mean Hotmail. Man, wtf did they do...sell off email addresses to these stupid email list prudes? Sheesh. I used to get absolutely NO spam in my Hotmail. Now 2/3 of my email is spam and they won't let me block any more stupid spam sender email lists (what a crock).

I also have ICQ installed as well as AIM (just 'cause AIM default installs with Netscape 6.2) but I rarely open ICQ even though that's the messenger program of mine with the most people I know/on contact list, and I only open AIM to screw with a friend of mine and send her goofy messages ("what's your favorite scary movie").
Although truthfully now...I rarely open any of them. I open MSN but immediately go to Appear Offline just 'cause I don't want to be bothered. I used to be all about chatting with people and stuff, but these days it just seems like there's no time...either that or I just don't want to be bugged.

Angry spam progs!

I love my hotmail account for MSN. I use my forums.gotapex email for important things like business and personal correspondance and my hotmail account for registering software and the like.

As far as the spam...email progs send out mail to (several wildcards)@hotmail.com

When it sends an email that doesn't bounce, it records it and keeps going. It can send about 100,000 emails an hour. Lovely isn't it? If you're into it, you could prolly program one yourself in about five or six hours.
