Win 98 Folder Question

Ok, this might seem like an easy question, but it's driving me nuts that I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. In Win 98, I am trying to get all of my folders to be arranged by name and to have new folders arrange by name by default. I have tried arranging a folder by name and then under Folder Options/View clicking "Like Current Folder." However, I still get all of my folders arranged by date. If I do arrange a folder by name, it will open up again and remember that I changed the arrangement. Help!
