anyone know how i can move the hibernate file from the default location? my hibernate file is a gig i think and my os partition is almost full.

![]() http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...9j81%404ax.com You can't. The only system file running at the time the hibernation file is used is NTLDR. The hibernation file is loaded instead of the OS when a specific bit is set in the PC's BIOS. Because the registry isn't loaded at this this time there is no way to specify an alternate location for the hibernation file. In addition the location of the hibernation file has to be where NTLDR can access without the assistence of any device drivers. This limits the location of the hibernation file to the boot partition.
