Windows IE wants
One thing that i miss when browsing the web on a windows machine when compared to my mac is the url autocompletion that adds the page title to the displayed url.
Say i was typing gotapex.com so i type: got and ie searches the history for the url. I will often go to a specific forum instead of the main forum page. Using my mac, it displays the page title, so i can easily tell what url is on a specific topic or for a specific forum. The description of that is not the greatest. Sorry. Do you understand what i'm saying? Most mac browsers do this, and i have yet to see it on a pc. What other wants do you guys have? A feature to stop popups from specified domains would be nice.

All I would change would be to add a checkbox in the general options that says 'Do not allow pop-up windows'.

I want the ability to install multiple versions of IE. Netscape allows this so I can test web sites on NS 4.5, 4.77, and 6.2 in a few seconds.
As it stands, I have to "test" web sites in IE by going from machine to machine. ![]()

Hear, hear, juju. Microsoft has this attitude that "the latest we shipped you is the best, so forget about that garbage we shipped you before." Give me the ability to see if my web sites work with the old garbage as well as the new garbage. A popup killer would be nice, but then the people at Tripod (et al) would get all gassy. p.s. to Juju's signature: "Well, put this on then, Baldrick." |

what about the ability to drag an image from window and have it open the image or link that it connects to into a second window, or save the image to the desktop when dragged to the desktop. I never liked how it did that on a mac, then i switched, and i use it all the time. I use a PC at work 50% of the time, and i really miss this feature.
