clonecd is shareware. you can only burn at 1x without registering. that means a full 700mb cd will take 80 minutes to burn.

it works for you?

I've tried it, and I've found it to be no better at copying some of the more difficult CDs then Nero and CD-Mate. Am I doing something wrong?

clonecd works perfectly for me. ive used it on all types of cds except safedisc2 discs since my burner cant burn these. depending on the type of copy protection used, there are different settings required to make 1:1 copies. there are utilities which can detect the type of copy protection and suggest setting to use. in the past ive used Copy Protection Detection, CloneCD Database and Clony XXL. i dont know whats out now since i havent been copying too many protected discs lately buy check out Protection dectection utils page at CDMedia World. they have a lot of programs and utils for anything for disc burning.

ok i got the trial version for the time being and it is no faster than nero. oh well. i still do like nero because i can turn off smart burn and burn at 48x. couldnt find the option in clonecd

and nero doesnt mind copy protected disks.
