anyone know of a good cd ripper?

do u guys have any recomendations for a good cd ripper? (program) that can rip from copy protected cd's and stuff. thanks guys.

I used to use Zlurp, but they haven't updated the product in a long time.

These days, I'm using Windows Media Player (ugh).

I use MusicMatch


also, for copy protected audio, you need a drive that can read it, and I use the Lite-On 40x burner for that

for music, EAC for ripping and LAME to encode. dont know if it will do copy protected music cd's. read up

i tried eac and it ripped the song said there was errors then when lame went to encode it the file was only 19 seconds long. i will try the others. have u guys ever heard of dbpoweramp...my friend said that was pretty good

i use itunes

the only copy protected audio cd i have come across is the free fast and furious one from a deal awhile back. the tape trick allows that to be played without any problems

some cds from sony can be "hacked" by covering the extra data track on cd. this track is about 1/8th of an inch from the last audio track. a noticable gap can be seen when looking at the cd. You can also cover this track with a magic marker. i prefer the tape, since its not physically damaging the cd like a marker could.
