ddns
I have a regular broadband account with a dynamic IP. Any recommendations for a DDNS service so I can link that IP with a name?

I have been using www.dyndns.org for the past couple of weeks. Works pretty well. For the Dynamic IP option they have a very quick (60 sec) TTL value, so when you update your dns the records propagate VERY quickly.
As a plus my router (netgear) has built in support for the service and only updates the DNS record when the ip changes. |

Sorry no follow-up on this. I went with www.dyndns.org as well. They were second rated (still highly rated), but had a better cost for serving a separate domain name.
Did you mean your Netgear supported them explicitly, or that Netgear supports DDNS updating in general? |
