Cyberwings---I was one of the suckers...

Hello,
Fell for it, got burned. Setup an account for my friend 5 days before the meltdown. I realize that the money put in is gone, but my question is about the registration of the domain name, is that gone too? We used the service provided by Cyberwings and paid the $10. Is there anyway to still use that account and change the name servers? Anyone know of any cheap transfer deals on web names?

Don't worry, your domain name is in good hands (hopefully). It's been transferred to another company: http://www.DomainsPricedRight.com

I too was burned by Cyberwings, lost about $40 I think. Now I'm with http://www.hostpacket.net which is okay I guess for $65 a year. I'm also signed up with another host because of a special they're doing $20/year http://www.manlius.com .

i lost like 3 bucks or so

the thing that pissed me off the most was i had lost about 50% of my site. My site has had very few if any changes since then. I kept waiting for that bastard to get back up liek he said, then i finally said screw it. Not having my email was the biggest thing that pissed me off

If you paid via 2checkout, you can still get a refund. Just email 2checkout with your order number and they'll have a refund ready for you within 24 hours.
