How do you burn a divx movie (.avi) to a dvd+r so that it is usable on a standard dvd player? thanks!

Hmm....
I don't really know, but you may find some info at www.divx-digest.com. You will first need to convert the file back into a .vob file (for the DVD player to read). I would start with seeing if Virtualdub can do it. Are you sure your DVD player can read DVD+R discs?

The way that I managed to do it was very complex and required a lot of different software packages, but it worked perfectly.
