Checkdisk On XP Start-up...Every time!
Each time I start the computer or reboot, XP runs Checkdisk on each drive. It never finds anything and is just a royal pain watching it run for each disk. Any ideas on how I can get it to stop???? I don't see any option for in in MSCONFIG.

Sometimes running scandisk when in windows will take care of that problem. Also it seems like your HDs are formatted to fat32. If you convert them to ntfs you will get much better file integrety, but you will lose compatiblity with other OSes.

Same thing has happened to me, and I'm using NTFS on all drives as well. Forgot how I remedied it though. :/ |

Have you tried re-seating the IDE and power cords? That worked for me once.

This is a total WAG without any research but... are they both Dynamic Disks? If not, you may want to set them as such.

Search your computer for AUTOCHK.*
Rename ALL of the instances found to autochk.old or something. That will stop it from running automatically.
