Access printer memory?

When you print something it goes has to go through the printer's memory right? Is there a way to access that and retrieve documents soley through the printer?? thx

Not that I'm aware of - even if you could find a way to interface to it, the memory is cleared after every document.

Yeah, your average printer has less than 2mb of memory and so it does clear it after each doc...

Depends on the printer and how it uses it memory and how long and how many things have been printed since and if power has been to it. Might be easier to go through the printer cache which is stored on the computer. (Print Spooling)
