I got the Beta pack from MS. Check this thing out:

Click on all pictures for full 1600x1200 original

16 cds in all:
  • Demo CD
  • Product Evaluation CD
  • Developer Resource CD
  • Office 2003
  • Language pack (2 CDs)
  • Publisher 2003
  • Frontpage 2003
  • InfoPath 2003
  • Windows Server 2003: Enterprise Edition
  • Windows Sharepoint Services
  • Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server v2.0
  • Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager
  • Exchanger Server 2003
  • OneNote 2003
  • 120 Day Windows XP Pro Trial

It's more than I expected. Now I'm going to have to play with it all.

That other disc is a 120-day trial for Windows XP Pro because they wanted you to have Windows XP when looking over the Beta. I have XP on my machines, but I just got this extra cd for the hell of it.

I'm also curious what new features they could add to Word and PowerPoint XP. I certaintly can't think of anything else that I would want included (and would create a larger memory footprint)

They always dump more Internet integration and collaboration between the apps. Also, their scripting support for VBA and Java has improved dramatically in recent versions.

Besides its more fancy schmany appearance? I'm not sure yet. I just got my Beta2 2003 kit today. I thought it was never going to get here. I can't wait to try it out.
