clock in XP

I'm using Windows XP Home edition and switched from the XP appearance style to the old classic style. I had my taskbar extended up so that I could see the time and the date. In classic mode though, it shows the time, but it shows what day of the week it is. Is there any way to make it so that it doesn't show the day of the week, but the actual date instead?

not sure if there is a way to do that. If you increase the length of the taskbar one more the full date will show. But can't figure out how to take out the day. Might be a 3rd party hack out there.
