Streaming webcam help

I am definitely a noob to web cams, so I was wondering, what is the easiest way to have my webcam go live for people to view on a browser? I want to take apart my powerbook and stream it live to whoever wants to check it out.

Thanks!

here is the link to the download page for inetcam.com it's not a direct download. It will capture the video and automatically upload to your webserver (usually you-hostname.inetcam.com) and people can watch you. i like it.

You can also use quicktime broadcaster, that is I'm assuming you're using os x.

You first gotta download it (its free) http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/broadcaster/

Then the help thing is pretty straight forward in setting it up. I've only done a test with a unicast to a direct computer in the network so far. Haven't played much with it, but it works and its quicktime, woo. E-mail me if you want some more help.

I know it won't help you since you use a Mac, but for PC users this is pretty cool.

TrackerCam

I already have one of these and am going to buy a 2nd one. It's a remote control tripod with a web cam. Pretty cool little gadget and not really that expensive.

I would give you all the URL to mine, but since I am usually sitting in front of it, I don't want to scare ya.
