Win2K hangs

After a period of inactivity W2k freezes on my PC. I have this PC setup for dual boot with W98 and it works fine when booted from 98.

Event viewer did not provide any clues. I've disabled power management but that had no effect.

Any clues on how I can go about finding some clues to why it freezes ?

TIA

Did you disable power management in the BIOS as well as within W2K?

Try turning off your screen saver as well. Is it a specific amount of time on a recurring basis or is it random?

Power management is turned off in the bios and I don't use a screen saver.

I did observe that my hard drive, WD 40GB does spin down after a period of inactivity and if I do something like looking at a directory, I can hear the drive spinning up and then W2K freezes.

Anymore ideas ?
