I've never used it personally myself; I hate EasyCD. I know that Nero also supports DVD burning, I prefer Nero for burning almost everything so I'd say check that out instead.

Since the problem with EasyCD 5, I haven't gone back. I have used Nero ever since.

In order to burn DVDs with Nero, you must buy a plug-in which I refuse to purchase. It's either $40 or $50. I do use Nero for burning VCDs though.

???

Odd.

I installed a DVD burner in my system the other day, fired up Nero and it didn't ask me for a plugin to burn DVDs. What version of Nero are you using? (Me = 5.5.10.42)

I don't have a DVD burner, but I prefer Nero for everything I do burn.

Talking

Yeah, I use Nero for almost everything; sometimes I use CloneCD instead, when I think Nero might give me problems or something...then again it never has given me a problem...I'm just software happy or somethin'.

It's version 5.5.9.19

From the Ahead website, it appears that the plug-in is required for all versions of 5.5. However Nero 6 includes it as standard equipment.

I used roxio's easyCd creator 6 to make some DVDs. I thought it was all right - except for one problem: after i'd make a DVD, i'd have to restart the computer before i made another one. If i didn't, EasyCD would say "No DVD burners detected" or something similar.

I never took the time to see if it was the burner's fault or the software's fault, but i took the burner to my office and it runs great now with Nero 5.5 on my workstation there I run XP at both places.
