Good TV capture software?
I've got an ASUS TV tuner card, and I want to capture from cable TV and burn to VCD or SVCD.
Problem is, Virtually Dub only lets me capture resolution 320 X 280, which sux. Any ideas on good TV capture software?

I'm no expert, but you can view and record with PowerVCR. However, it has limited recording features, and I can't seem to get the resulting MPGs to open in any editing program like TMPGENC or Virtual Dub. Power Direct Pro, which comes with the ASUS, is a horrible editing IMO.
Anway, I tried AVI_IO to capture (execellent capture software), and I can't capture in any resolution except for 320 X 280. So it's not the software, could be the driver. I have the most updated driver from ASUS, however, so bloody hell this sucks. Anyone have any ideas before I post this in the Hardware forum?? |

You can watch TV with PowerVcr.
Download a trial here http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/d...d=40&ProdId=20 Found this useful info on www.dvdrhelp.com about regedit to increase file size and capture size. Use at your own risk I haven't tried myself yet. http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewto...light=powervcr More usefull info on the asus card http://www.dvdrhelp.com/capturecards...&Search=Search Last edited by billxp : 08-23-2003 at 09:32 AM. |
