I have a user that just set up Personal Fodlers in Outlook, and set it to deliver everything to that instead of the server. All well and good, mostly. Everything that was in the Inbox on the server was automatically moved into the Inbox in his Personal Folders. But - is there a way to transfer the Calendar on the server to the Personal Folders Calendar? All his new appointments are showing up correctly in the Personal Folders Calendar, but the existing stuff is staying on the server.

Export Import Calendar
Go to the calendar on the server and figure out when the last appointment is on the calendar. Then go to the file menu and click on Import Export. Choose Export To A File then Comma Separated Values (DOS), next, Click on the Calendar on the server, next, Enter a file name (make sure you record where it's saving the file), finish. This creates a file that you can now import into the Calendar in your personal folder. Now, go to the file menu and click on Import Export. Choose Import From Another Program or File, next, Comma Separated File (DOS), next, file name from above, I clicked Replace duplicates with imported items (this options is your choice), next, choose the Calendar in the personal folder, next, finish. Just did this and it worked great. Now all appointments that were on the server calendar are on the personal folder calendar and all new appointments go to the personal folder calendar.
Hope this helps. |
