Sucks to be me

I got a virus...
I believe its the PE Perite A & B...
if I do a scanreg on my system will that possibly get rid of it...
this virus seems to affect all my .exe files by changing them to .rb0 extensions...

Any help would be appreciated...

sounds like your screwed. Run out and get some AV software!

Does NOT look good for you... Removal says to replace infected files with back copies.

Quote:
Run LiveUpdate to make sure that you have the most recent virus definitions.
Start Norton AntiVirus (NAV), and make sure that NAV is configured to scan all files. For instructions on how to do this, read the document How to configure Norton AntiVirus to scan all files.
Run a full system scan.
Delete all files that are detected as PE.40. If the file size is 576 bytes, delete the file. If the file size is greater than 576 bytes, replace the file from a backup copy.
