they adopted the fibonacci numbering system. 2+3=5...

basically it's running on 2.0's engine with all the pretty updates of 3. plus it has things like global hotkeys. it's REALY nice. i've been using the beta and it's been rock solid. never had it crash or do anything wrong.

All i ask of my MP3 player is to play, not look pretty or make pretty graphics with my music. Winamp 2 covers this.

I'll try it just because when I stream audio, every now and then it freezes up and no audio comes out of any program I use until I reboot.

I tried one of the radio stations, and it wasn't that bad... i'm still undecided. although I kinda like the modern skin that it came with..

Doesn't play videos when I downloaded it. Kinda slow starting up when I tried to play streaming radio broadcast. I don't see any real improvements. My two cents.

Big Suckage!

in Winamp 2.x, if you close the program while its minimized to the task bar, the next time open it, it will open it in the task bar.

however,
now if you close the program while it is minimized, the next time you open Winamp, the main window will not open but all the other windows (Playlist, EQ, Library) will.

kinda annoying. also thought i broke my Winamp.
