Trouble installing Norton AV after upgrading to XP

Hey folks, I have a user that I just upgraded to Windows XP from Win98. I did an upgrade rather than a clean install first, to see if it would be sufficient to solving her problems. So far it is fine, except that I need to install Norton Corporate Edition, and her old OS had Systemworks 2001. I tried to uninstall the S2001 before installing but I get an error saying that the uninstall info is missing from the registry. I cannot install over Systemworks either. Is there any way that I can uninstall this prog or install the new version, without having to do a clean XP install?
