RUN --> MSCONFIG in Windows2000 ??

Hello I am trying to disable some of the startup programs so I go to RUN --> MSCONFIG in windows2000 but there's an error.... "cannot find the file 'msconfig' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are corrent and that all required libraries are available." anybody know why ?? i am thinking windows2000 may have disable DOS completely.... cuz i have no problem running it in win98 and winxp. Thanks !!

msconfig does not exist in Win2k for some reason. You'll need to download a Win2k-compatible version of the file(s). Google will help.

Spybot Search and Destroy has a system startup tool under the tools menu. Like msconfig, this will allow you to examine and selectively remove processes that are commanded to run in the registry (under HK_LM:run) at startup. It will even tell you what is necessary and what is not.
