Best Way to Transfer Lotsa Files

OK, so I put together a new system with a 160 GB HD. I got a PCI USB 2.0 card and an external USB 2.0 case.

I put an existing 120 GB hard drive in the external case which has 110 GB of data (1600 AVI files).

I want to transfer all of those AVI files to the 160 GB hard drive.

What command, procedure or program can I use without individually selecting each and every AVI file?

I take it that you can't just Select All (CTRL+A) and drag to the other drive...?

It's going to take you a long time to transfer all those files.

With the USB 2.0 port, I experimented this evening. It took 5 minutes for approx. 55 files. Since there are 30 times that amount, it will take around 2-1/2 hours, which I can live with. I really don't know of a faster method.
