Remote Assistance
Hi! I need some help. I need to be able to remotely access the computer at my parent's house so I can help my computer-illiterate sister out when she needs it. I also need to access some files that I keep on the computer when she's not there. Is there anyway I can do that? I know there's the Remote Desktop connection thing but I don't know how to use it. what do you put down as the domain?

Ok, I think I got the remote assistance thing to work. How do I get the remote desktop to work?

What OS are you running on both machines? If you are both XP and she is running XP Pro, you can just set that up in Control Panels->System->Remote and check Allow This Computer to be controlled remotely. If she is only running XP Home, you might have to use Remote Assistance instead. If you are using different OS's then you might be stuck using Remote Assistance (through MSN Messenger) or purchase a 3rd party software(such as Laplink).

when I right click, there's only properties, and there's no hide option...
