Question Quick Norton Ghost question

Lets say I'm backing up a system that has one physical drive, partitioned into 2 drives (C: -> 5 GB, D: -> 15 GB).

I ghost the C: partition, not the whole disk. Can I restore the partition onto another system that doesnt have a partitioned drive? (ie. a system with only C: -> 20 GB)

If not, then pretty much you might be setting yourself up for a world of pain when it comes to fixing all the hardware conflicts if you do that especially if the 2 systems have different motherboards.

oh wow, you know I havent thought of that!

You might want to install the new drive, get it all running then use Ghost Explorer to bring the files over that you want.
