Simple Video Editing Program?

I'm just trying to do some really simple & straight-forward video editing. I want to crop certain parts out of a long clip to make it shorter. I used to use premeire for my fancier work, e.g. layovers, transitions, adding audio, etc. This time I want something very small convenient, and quick!! Thanks!

To me, Premiere is a pretty simple program for your general video editing needs. For fancier work, I use After Effects.

What OS? IF you are using XP then Windows Movie Maker is a great easy editing tool. OSX, iMovie.
