DVD-R media

I just picked up a Lite-On DVD+/- R/ RW 8x ...

If I pick up these: http://store.yahoo.com/supermediasto...-cake-box.html will they work with my drive?

Or will the 4x work? http://store.yahoo.com/supermediasto...eshipping.html

I'm guessing the only difference between the two is write speed, correct?

You should be straight either way... Ritek is a good DVD brand.

Personally, I say... "follow your budget".

Easy. They both will. Ritek is the best.

BTW: I once ordered Supermedia's house brand DVD-Rs-it was a mistake. My LiteOn hates them.

Also, be sure to use coupon codes (from the deals page) when you order. You can save an extra couple of bucks.

I used Princo DVD-R media with my old Pioneer 4x DVD-R drive and it worked wonderfully.

I now has a NEC AD-2100A (Dell OEM), which only does +R/+RW. I am going to flash the drive to make it does -R/-RW and try the Princo or Ritek -R media.

that was the best "life extension" ive done for an "almost obsolete" drive.

i have the same exact drive, thats now an ND-1300A with a mere flash of the firmware. burns DVD-R discs easily now. I used Princo discs, and they worked fine.

Supermedia store is fairly good. I ordered a 100-disc spool from them yesterday too. Almost all my DVD-R's come from them and meritline.

My firmware flashing went flawlessly so I'm going to get one or two Princo DVD-Rs from my co-worker and try burning it. Hopefully everything works out alright.

Ridata is the "consumer brand" of Ritek. They are good disks.
