NVIDIA GeForce FX Go Driver

Hi all,

I remember reading it somewhere before that I cannot use the unified driver downloaded directly from NVIDIA.com to my laptop graphic card (GeForce FX GO 5650). Instead, I have to grab the driver from the laptop manufacturer ONLY. Does it still hold true? Thank you.

I don't think it's true. I have a Dell 2650 with a GF2Go and I use the unified driver from nVIDIA.

Are you sure? There's a disclaimer right on the download page from nVidia:

Quote:
NOTE: GeForce2 Go, GeForce4 Go and GeForce FX Go mobile processors are not supported in this driver. Please contact the notebook's manufacturer for graphics drivers for your notebook PC.

However, as someone else pointed out to me (props to whoever that was) - you can grab the 2GO drivers from http://www.omegadrivers.net/
