Programming websites
Ok, there has to be a useful website for programming that has a nice community like this. Anyone know of one?

I'm not sure what programming languages you use, but in the past I've found useful info at http://www.tek-tips.com HTH

well, right now. C++. My school only taught C and Java. Bastards. I know all the basic stuff. I picked up a book about C++, but there things I don't know where to look in the book. I just wanna go there and be able to ask, "this is what I want to do. I'm not sure where to find out how, could someone send me in the right direction?"

Ok, forgot to come back here and post this until now
![]() Anyway, it always seems to me that although there are quite a few venues for discussing computer programming, there are relatively few where people aren't hard on 'newbies'. For instance, newsgroups are a great place to ask questions, however, if you ask a simple question, you're far more likely to get a lot of people telling you to "do a search" rather than answering your question. So, as attgig said, why not here? There are quite a few programmers on this board (I think). Ask away! ![]() |
