Help - Can't burn files on a dvd
For some reason I can make backups of movies using dvd shrink and nero, but when I try to back up my files onto dvd using nero, simulation always fails. I'm doing it at the lowest possible speed (2X) on some pretty good media (Ritek DVD-R G03), and I even do a speed test before simulating, but it won't work! It totally sucks, cus I want to start transfering my cd-r backups onto dvd-r. Should I try using the software that my burner came with? Here's my specs:
athlon xp 1500 512MB ddr ram (2100?) some generic mobo lite-on 411S dvd burner Has anybody else had this problem?

Free, awesome, but will not do direct disc-to-disc copies... Might be worth a shot...

Thanks. I'm trying to remotely burn something using remote desktop, and it wants me to reboot my computer after doing the patch...can't do that with remotely. I'll try this now. Hope it won't ask for a reboot. |

You can reboot with Remote Desktop by running Task Manager, then clicking on Shut Down and Restart. Or you could run msconfig and then click OK without making any changes. You can then restart it.

I think sequiro posted the msconfig trick. Task Manager is a bonus.
