Outlook express can't be used for free hotmail account anymore...

Well... this all depends.
It seems that if you had a Hotmail account from WAY back, that we are grandfathered in... My free Hotmail accounts still work on Outlook Express... however I can't create any new ones to work. BTW... Wung... when did G-Mail start allowing Outlook access? I hadn't seen any announcement on that. Do you have a link to the POP3 setup?

If you log onto GMail and see "New Features" on the top line of the screen, then you can turn on POP support and set your account up. The feature has to be enabled from the web client to get it in Outlook. They're selectively rolling it out so you might not have it yet.
