Best IM software for Web Cam?

A friend of mine just got a webcam for her Sony Vaio laptop. I had told her that I use my webcam using AOL IM on my Mac and so she downloaded it for the PC. However it doesn't look like there is a native web cam software within AOL IM. I found another piece of software called Buddy Vision, but it doesn't look that great either. I think that Yahoo Messenger supports web cam usage. Is there another that works well that you all would suggest?

Thanks mucho.

Thanks fellas, but I think it's gotta be free for my friend to use it (cheap ass ) It also has to work with most webcams. Maybe yahoo is the way to go.

I don't webcam anymore, but when I did, I found Yahoo to be the best and most consistent program for webcamming.

MSN for me also. I think the new Trillian Pro 3 also offers webcam feature though I haven't used it yet.

Digging this up as my friend is about to have her baby and she wants to be able to use the webcam after it pops out. When I was setting it up for her I didn't see how to initiate voice and video with the webcam. I only see webcam and voicechat, but not both. I believe that she has the latest version of Yahoo Messenger but I will double check. Anyone know how to initiate the voice and video chat?

Thanks a lot.

(I'm guessing here)

Doesn't video chat automatically include voice chat?

Apparently not. When I ran the set up on her laptop we could get no audio when there was video, and no video when there was audio.

MSN has the video with voice option as well as just video. i've never been able to get yahoo to work, but msn is pretty much plug and play. i would suggest msn also.

I found Yahoo and MSN to work great. I got Trillian to work with one person, but that was it.

I think with Yahoo you can allow multiple people to view your webcam at once, but with MSN its limited to one.
