QuickBooks 2004 Basic Edition Question

Okay, I've been trying to work with QuickBooks and am really new to it, so I'm trying to figure out this scenario:

My company only approves the use of Quicken software on their computers and QuickBooks is prohibited from being used on my company's computers.

For the first half of 2004, Quicken software was used for bookeeping. In the summer, my office used a personal laptop with QuickBooks 2004 Basic on it and began keeping records on that.

I recently converted my Quicken files into QuickBooks on the laptop, but it created the info as a new company.

I need to merge both companies. Is this possible? Or do I have to give my bookeeper both files, have them take care of it this year like that?

Thanks in advance.
