Help With Windows Media Player Error Message C00D109B
Lately whenever I try to play video files on my work computer with a .WMV extension I only get audio, no video. I get error C00D109B telling me that it can't find the codec, but I don't know where to get the codec either. These are not AVI files or anything, just WMV. Anyone got any suggestions to make it work?
BTW, I am running WMP 8.0 since my company won't let me upgrade since I am not an admin.

Solutions:
1. Put in a request to admin to upgrade the windows media player codecs, or if possible the media player versions. If they are hesitant to comply/help then I'm sure there are some security fixes between versions of WMP that could half-ass a justification for the minutes it would take to do such an upgrade. 2. There is alink, try it out, I'm not sure if admin permissions are required, it says it's for network admins, but doesnt mention anything about distribution, so it may indeed be installable by non-admin users. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...cdownload.aspx is where I linked from. 3. if all else fails, try a different media player. I have found that sometimes WMP6.4 will correctly play some files whereas wmp9/10 have not played them. good luck
